Percy Bady is one of the humblest giants the music industry has ever experienced... Often referred to as super producer, a term reserved to describe the very elite in modern music production, this term typifies GrammyTM, Dove, and BMI Award winner, Percy Bady. This talent is coupled with prolific songwriting ability responsible for timeless number one albums, and hit singles effortlessly spanning genres in the secular and Christian arenas for over four decades. Perhaps his greatest contribution to music can be traced to two extreme ends that depict his musical depth and crossover appeal as both a gifted writer and musician.
In the span of his lengthy career Percy has been blessed to work with notable names like Smokie Norful, The Thompson Community Singers, Kirk Franklin, Take 6, Donald Lawrence, Avant, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Kim Burrell, Michelle Williams (Destiny’s Child), Dionne Warwick, Michael McDonald, Bebe & Cece Winans, The Winans, Vickie Winans, Lynette Hawkins-Stephens, The Williams Brothers, Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, Comissioned, Hezekiah Walker, Bishop Paul S. In 2020 Percy co-penned the Toni Braxton hit single “Do It” which reached #1 on the Adult R-n-B Contemporary Radio Chart & #1 Adult R-n-B Single Billboard Charts simultaneously. Most recently he co-penned the Billboard Gospel #1 song “Still Gon Trust” as song by Joshua Rogers. Percy is continuing to show his skills as a diverse songwriter and music communicator in this ever-changing music landscape.
His body of work has garnered him 26 Gold and Platinum albums. Not many songwriters and producers of any genre can boast a body of work that's been sung by a cast of star-studded names like the list that reads on Percy Bady's resume. In 1995 Percy's beaming talent would also catch the eyes and ears of the notorious R. Kelly, which would later result in the collaboration of one of billboards top inspirational pop songs of all time – “I Believe I Can Fly”.
